Teens Rescued After Being Trapped By Rock Slide In Utah

Authorities say two teenagers were rescued by emergency crews in Utah after being trapped in a massive rock slide. KUTV-TV reports the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office says the teens from Gunnison were driving on Willow Creek Road northeast of Salina when the rock slide occurred Sunday night. The passenger was partially trapped and the vehicle had to be cut open in order for first responders to free him. The driver was flown by a medical helicopter to Utah Valley hospital and the passenger was transported to Gunnison Valley Hospital. Authorities say their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
