Wildfire Near Midway 40% Contained, Juvenile Apprehended In Connection With Fire

A human-caused wildfire burning near Midway has grown to 646 acres and is 40% contained. Wasatch County fire officials report that residents living near the Saddle Fire are being allowed to return to their homes.

In a news release, the Utah Department of Natural Resources said firefighters battled erratic winds, steep terrain and limited access as they attempt to contain the fire. The fire is the fourth blaze in the area within a week. A juvenile has been apprehended in connection to the Saddle Flat wildfire and recent fires near the Interlaken and Pine Canyon areas, north of Midway.
