Authorities say a 10-year-old Utah boy is dead after an apparent accidental shooting. The Summit County Sheriff's Office says the boy was shot in the chest at a home near Kamas about 44 miles east of Salt Lake City. Deputies tried to save him but he died of his injuries. Detectives are investigating how the firearm was accessed and how it was fired. The sheriff's office said the hearts of its members are broken and they mourn with the family of the little boy.
