Lt. Gov Spencer Cox Wins GOP Primary

While there are still more votes to be counted from Utah's primary election, shortly after 4 p.m. on Monday the Associated Press called Utah's Republican gubernatorial race in favor of Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox and his running mate Deidre Henderson.

Around 4:40 p.m. Cox tweeted that former Gov. Jon Huntsman called him to concede the race.  "Thanks to all of you for making today happen. We still have much work to do. And we will do it together. #OneUtah," he said in the tweet.

The race for Utah's governor has been tight, and right now Huntsman and Cox are separated by just over 9,100 votes.  Vote tallies will be final in two weeks.
