USU Football Player Accused Of Sexual Assault, Dismissed From Team

Utah State University football player Ismael Kalani Vaifo’ou has been arrested after he allegedly broke into a female student’s dorm and sexually assaulted her Sunday morning. He has been dismissed from the USU football team.According to FOX 13, Vaifo’ou, 22, faces charges of forcible sexual abuse, burglary, trespassing and intoxication. 

 

According to an arrest report, Vaifo’ou was seen entering several dorms on different floors in the Living Learning Center, a residence hall on campus. Around 3:30 a.m., he entered a female student’s room, stripped down to his underwear and climbed into her bed. He then began to touch her while she was still asleep. The girl then pushed him out of the bed, and he got dressed and left.

 

Witnesses say he smelled like alcohol and showed strong signs of impairment. He is currently being held in the Cache County Jail without bail.
