Program Aims To Improve Air Quality By Providing Free Bus Fare

Free bus fare will be provided on all Utah Transit Authority buses on August 12 and 13.

The UTA, along with Utah State Legislature and other state air and health organizations, announced the ‘Free Fare for Clean Air’ initiative which is meant to encourage Utahns to take public transportation to help improve air quality along the Wasatch Front.

The free fare days were made possible by House Bill 353 sponsored by Representative Joel Briscoe during the 2019 Legislative Session, according to officials.
