Hill Air Force Base Shares Four Safety Tips For Driving In The Fall
As summer comes to a close, the Hill Air Force Base has shared four safety tips for driving in the fall. The four main things drivers can do to remain as safe as possible throughout the fall season is to slow down, prepare their car, dim their lights and increase following distance.
This time of year brings certain dangers, such as reduced hours of daylight. Air force officials say driving in the dark is more hazardous because it adds to the reaction time of the driver.
Officials added that inclement weather during dark hours can cause road glare, resulting in essential blindness for up to 75 feet in front of your car. Age also plays a role in how well people can see in those types of situations and how quickly they can react.
