Utah continues to be the fastest-growing state in the nation and state leaders are shedding light on what's being done to address growth and sustainability.The changing skylines and large number of businesses opening along the Wasatch Front are proof that companies want to be here. According to Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity spokesperson Ben Hart, this is because Utah is seen as a safe place to do business.
Recently, the legislature wanted stronger coordination and moved to develop the ‘Unified Economic Opportunity Commision.’ Hart says it is the policy response to the growth and sustainability questions.
Hart says while Utah’s economy is trending back toward normal, the governor’s team sees sustainability in all aspects as the most important topic to consider moving forward.
