The former campaign manager for Utah Governor Spencer Cox has resigned after an investigation substantiated claims of sexual misconduct made against him by a female campaign employee.Austin Cox (who is not related to Gov. Cox in any way) resigned prior to the conclusion of an independent investigation that found cause to terminate him. The governor says that the investigation also revealed previously unreported hostile conduct toward other members of the team.
Governor Cox and Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson say they condemn Austin Cox’s behavior and they praise the woman who came forward, “despite tremendous risk and personal hardship."
