The Cache County Council has voted to increase the salary of council members to $24,000 and the council chair’s salary to $30,000.

During a public hearing, several constituents voiced their support or opposition for the raise. Afterward, the council voted 5-to-2 in favor, citing cost of living increases as the cause for the raise.
