What Makes a Good Business Citizen in Iron County?

Join us on July 17th as together we paint the picture of what makes the type of business citizen, we would warmly welcome to our community. Our goal is to create a list of traits which will ultimately be shared with new, and potential businesses plus any existing businesses which are interested.

Aside from the types of business and services many wish would move here (Yes, yes, we know, Costco-Target-Trader Joes, etc.,) most of us are great at describing the kinds of businesses we don’t want here…”too big,” “national chain stores don't care about locals” “We don’t want to be like (xyz) city.” But can we describe the ideal business citizen, its traits and how they are manifested? Words like “Integrity, honesty, community minded” sound great in a mission statement but ‘does the walk match the talk?’ And, what do we value most about Iron County’s character, and can we communicate that to potential businesses?
