Increase In The Number Of Children Being Treated For A Syndrome Doctors Say Is Related To COVID-19

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – There has been an increase in the number of children being treated for a syndrome doctors say is related to COVID-19.  Four states, including New York, Massachusetts, Kentucky, and Utah are reporting cases of  Pediatric Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome.  Children with the rare syndrome have been developing high fevers, rashes, abdominal pain, and even inflammation of the heart. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is preparing to release an alert warning doctors to be on the lookout for the dangerous inflammatory syndrome.
