Estimated 26,000 post-Thanksgiving travelers flew through SLC Sunday

The post-Thanksgiving travel rush is hitting airports across the country as people feel more comfortable flying again. Salt Lake City International Airport staff say an estimated 26,000 passengers went through the airport on Sunday. Many passengers say traveling was much different this year than last. Passenger Michelle Rankin says she flew in expecting large crowds and came prepared. She says the parking was completely full and the TSA pre-check line was about a 35 minute wait, which is much longer than usual, according to Rankin.

Despite the long waits, travelers reported having good experiences and everything reportedly ran smoothly.
