Some books are being pulled from libraries for covering controversial topics.

After a complaint resulting in books being pulled from shelves in Canyons School District, the Utah Library Advocates (ULA) are trying to spread the message that books should not be banned from school libraries. The group says that the diverse perspectives presented in books can help students see themselves in the stories and expose students to ideas outside of their own.

The ULA has created a digital guide to help parents and caregivers discuss difficult topics raised in certain books.
