156th May 10th Celebration
Join Golden Spike National Historical Park May 10th for the 156th commemoration of the nation’s first transcontinental railroad. Take an opportunity to reflect on how a project completed over 150 years ago still holds lessons for us today.
Special guests include the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone, Chinese Railroad Workers Descendants Association, the Hibernian Society of Utah, Golden Spike Association of Box Elder County, and many more.
Admission is free during this special event.

11:30 AM–12:50 PM – Traditional Commemorative Ceremony
1:00–2:00 PM – Cultural Demonstrations & Special Programs
2:00–3:00 PM – Historical Reenactment & Locomotive Demonstration
3:00–4:15 PM – Locomotive Cab Tours
4:30 PM – Concluding Locomotive Departures and Ranger Program
5:00 PM – Visitor Center Closes
