Comic Contest - Submissions accepted for "Drawn to the Library"
Comic Contest - Submissions accepted for "Drawn to the Library"
Logan Library is excited to announce a comic contest open to all ages! Participants are invited to create a comic strip highlighting what draws them to the library. Comic creation slips and submission forms are available at the service desks on each floor, and submissions will be accepted through Saturday, April 19.
Starting Monday, April 21, submissions will be displayed in three age groups (0-11, 12-17, and 18+) for public voting. Based on votes received between April 21 and April 26, the top three entries in each group will win a graphic novel.
This contest celebrates National Library Week (April 6-12) and Logan Library’s birthday (April 20). Inspired by the American Library Association’s National Library Week theme, "Drawn to the Library," the contest invites community members to reflect on what makes the library special to them.
Prizes for each age group include:
· 0-11 Years: El Deafo by CeCe Bell, The Stone Keeper by Kazu Kibuishi, Legends of Zita the Spacegirl by Ben Hatke
· 12-17 Years: Guts by Raina Telgemeier, The Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich by Deya Muniz, Heartstopper by Alice Oseman
· 18+ Years: Locke and Key Vol. 1 by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi, Stranger Planet by Nathan W. Pyle
We look forward to seeing your creative submissions and celebrating what makes Logan Library a special place for our community!
