Community Art Day
Community Art Day
You’re invited to NEHMA’s Community Art Day inspired by Horse (1972), a painting by Rex Walter on view in Repainting the I: The Intermountain Intertribal Indian School Murals exhibit through January 17, 2026. Horses hold deep significance in Navajo (Diné) culture—used for travel, herding, ceremony, and celebration. Walter’s painting honors this powerful relationship and the vital role horses continue to play in Diné life.
