Day of Remembrance and Opening of "Uncovering the Journey: Japanese American Pioneers in Box Elder County" Exhibit
The Wasatch Front North JACL will be hosting the 2025 Day of Remembrance commemorating the 83rd Anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on February 19, 1942. This event will take place on February 15th, 2025 from 11:00AM-2:00PM.
The public is invited to the Brigham Academy Center, located at 58 N. Main Street, Brigham City, Utah, with distinguished guest speakers William A. Harris, Director of the FDR Presidential Library and Museum, and Jani Iwamoto, Honorary Consul of Japan in Salt Lake City.
Following the program, there will be a lunch transition at the Brigham City Community Center, 24 North 300 West, Brigham City, Utah, preceding the unveiling of the special exhibition Uncovering the Journey: Japanese American Pioneers in Box Elder County in the museum downstairs.
