Introduction to Mycology and Home Mushroom Cultivation

Introduction to Mycology and Home Mushroom Cultivation

USU Extension presents a half-day class about fungal biology, ecology, mushroom cultivation, culinary uses, and further ideas for working with fungi. This not a mushroom identification class, but participants will leave with a solid understanding of how fungi grow and interact with their environment, how to cultivate mushrooms at home, and how to safely enjoy mushrooms as food. Participants will receive a take-home mushroom kit, a list of resources for further learning, and new ideas beyond this class.
