The Cache Valley Starlight Alliance introductory meeting
The Cache Valley Starlight Alliance (https://www.cvstarlightalliance.org/) is an umbrella organization made up of Cache Valley residents and organizations passionate about night skies. Our Vision is “Communities Working Together to Let Kids See the Stars.”
Join us Thursday, April 16, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in the Logan Library Community Room B for our first introductory meeting. We will screen a short film on ways to minimize light pollution, why this matters, and how this makes our communities safer. Learn about the family-friendly community science program, Globe at Night, as well as a state-wide Night Sky Monitoring effort designed by the Rocky Mountain Audubon Society that will be starting up in Cache Valley in the fall. Plus, meet representatives from Cache Valley Astronomy Society for an introduction to stargazing. This event is best suited for adults, teens, and tweens.
