About Our Speaker
Connell O'Donovan is a historian, biographer, and professional genealogist. Connell has researched and discovered much of what we know about LGBTQIA+ Utah. Connell works hard to include all Utahans in his research and ongoing community work. He is currently working on the history of Drag in Utah from 1871-2021, as well as a film documentary on the double suicide of two young LDS Lesbians in Salt Lake City in 1926. From Syracuse, Utah, he has lived in Texas, Alaska, Brazil, and California but now lives in Salt Lake City. He loves posting horrible puns on Facebook to annoy his family and friends.
