***UPDATE: After a search by both ground and air Monday and Tuesday, Humphrey was located in good condition.

Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue units responded to the Arizona Strip Monday afternoon, where fish and game officers came across a vehicle stuck in the mud several miles south of St. George.

There was an elderly female inside the vehicle.  She related that her friend, 87-year-old Camille Humphrey had left to seek help, walking away from the vehicle Sunday evening at approximately 6 p.m.

Search and rescue units out of Mohave County began a ground search, while a medical helicopter out of St. George also assisted by air.
