Project Resilience: Tips For Enjoying Tourism In Your Own Backyard

pixabay.com

There are many tourism opportunities right in your own backyard. They are a great way to cope during COVID-19 and a great way to become more resilient.

Cache Valley is 18 miles wide and 50 miles long and stretches from Preston, Idaho to Paradise, Utah. Visit a lake or reservoir or find a more remote hiking trail at Blacksmith Fork Canyon or Cub River. That way you can shift your focus from daily life to a time of reflection and appreciation for this beautiful area.

The way we think of tourism now is a little bit different. So consider a staycation right here in Logan or in Cache Valley. Do some birdwatching. Use your cell phone to photograph wildflowers. Just get outside and enjoy the beauty.

Let the Cache Valley Visitors Bureau be a resource for you where you can find pocket guides to help you and your family identify wildflowers and birds. Or you can grab a guide on unique headstones to search for at the Logan City Cemetery. We have books on hiking trails, maps, and even our best selling book “117 Amazing Things To Do In Logan and Cache Valley Utah.”

If you live outside Cache Valley, consider visiting your own local tourism office for ideas of what you can do to enjoy being in your community.

Get out and explore. For more information visit explorelogan.com.
