According to Suzanne Lyons, the chairperson for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, the committee is prepared to discuss an Olympic bid for Salt Lake City with the International Olympic Committee.If successful, the city would host the Olympic Winter Games in 2030. It would be Utah’s second time hosting the winter games.
Raney Norman is an Olympic speed skater and the Chair of the Salt Lake City Utah Committee for the Games. She said Utah’s facilities and supportive government leaders are just a few reasons why Salt Lake City is the perfect place for the winter games.
