Zion National Park officials announced that park shuttles will not be operating starting Monday and will remain out of service until Dec. 23.During this time, private vehicles will be allowed to drive the scenic drive, but officials warned visitors are likely to run into heavy traffic and congestion. Officials say space is limited and parking may be unavailable.

Shuttles will return to operation from Dec. 23 through Jan. 1, 2022. During this time Zion Canyon Scenic Drive will be accessible by shuttle only.

Masks are still required on shuttles in the park.
