uen.org

Garfield County prosecutors have named the suspect in the murder of a rehabilitation center employee on Tuesday, at the Turn-About Ranch, a facility for troubled teens near Escalante, Utah

Clay Brewer, a student at the facility, allegedly attacked 61-year-old Jimmy Woolsey with a weapon, from behind.  The attack continued after Woolsey had fallen to the ground.  The charges also allege that brewer attempted to kill another staff member and stole her car in an attempt to escape.

He was apprehended by Garfield County deputies shortly thereafter.

The teen will be charged as an adult with aggravated murder, aggravated attempted murder and aggravated robbery—all felonies.  Other lesser charges were also laid out Friday, by Garfield County attorney Barry Huntington.

The teen, from Snowflake, Arizona, is currently being held at a juvenile detention center in Richfield.
