Fire restrictions in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest to reduce the risk of man-made wildfires began on Thursday.
Under the restrictions, fires, campfires, charcoal, coal and wood stoves are only allowed in developed campgrounds. Smoking is limited to inside of vehicles, buildings, developed campgrounds, or in areas clear of flammable material for three feet in either direction.
Fire restrictions typically remain in place until significant precipitation is received.
