First lady Abby Cox was joined by Utah’s Hogle Zoo, the Salt Lake Chamber and representatives from foster organizations to announce the launch of Utah’s “foster friendly” business app at a press conference on Tuesday, according to a press release from Cox’s office.
The app was developed by the first lady’s partner organization America’s Kids Belong and is a way businesses can provide free services and discounts to foster families. The Hogle Zoo is one of the first businesses to offer discounts on the app to all foster, relative, and foster-adoptive families in Utah. Any Utah business is welcome to provide a discount on the app.
