The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office will be participating in a program to help prosecutors build trust within their communities, according to a report from KSL.
The program is the Elevating Trust and Legitimacy for Prosecutors Project. It will take place over the next 15 months. During this time, experts will look at how decisions are made in the district attorney’s office and then report on what is working and what is not.
David LaBahn is president of the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys. He said the Salt Lake County office was the best fit for the project because “their office has significant opportunities to implement changes agency-wide and make significant changes within their community."
