Officials looking for suspect connected to victim in fatal shooting

Police officials in Taylorsville are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect involved in a shooting Sunday.Manuel Omar Burciaga-Perea, 36, was last seen in a black hooded sweater, blue jeans and brown shoes with white soles. Police say his vehicle is a 2000 Chevy full-size pickup truck with a Utah license plate that reads “U405MN.”

 

Upon arriving at the scene of the shooting, police say they found a 38-year-old deceased woman who they believe was in a relationship with the suspect. She was shot multiple times.

 

Police say Burciaga-Perea is likely armed and dangerous. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, contact Taylorsville Police Department Dispatch at 801-840-4000.
