First Cases Of The Coronavirus Confirmed In USU Community

Utah State University has reported its first two coronavirus cases Tuesday night.

One person is an employee who has not been on campus for more than 14 days, officials said in a statement. The other person is a student who lives off campus. Both are quarantining at home and have not been hospitalized.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 on USU campuses in Logan and throughout the state, USU officials are asking anyone associated with the university to complete an on-line questionnaire if they have been asked to quarantine, self-isolate, or have had a COVID-19 test, even if they are still awaiting results.

They said the information will remain private and will help USU provide accommodations and identify areas of campus that must receive additional cleaning and disinfection.
