Utah Gov. Gary Herbert has launched a program to support small businesses in the transition to “moderate risk” COVID-19 protocols. The “PPE Push Pack” program is a public and private partnership. A one-week supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) is being offered to sole proprietors and businesses with fewer than 50 employees.
PPE Push Packs include masks, hand sanitizer, and possibly gloves or other items, depending on the type of business.
President and CEO of the Salt Lake Chamber, and chair of the Economic Response Task Force, Derek Miller said several Utah organizations, including Logan's ICON Fitness, have donated protective equipment to support small businesses.
The governor said the PPE Push Pack program is intended to support the transition while businesses line up long-term supplies.
