Lehi High School Teacher Is No Longer An Employee After Making Comments In Classroom

The Alpine School District says the Lehi High School teacher who made controversial political statements to her students is no longer an employee.

On Tuesday a video surfaced of Chemistry teacher Leah Kinyon speaking to her students about her opinion on COVID vaccines, her dislike of former President Donald Trump and the intelligence of students’ parents.

After the video surfaced, Kinyon was immediately placed on leave. On Wednesday morning, following an investigation, Alpine School District officials announced Kinyon is no longer an employee of the district.

It is unknown if Kinyon resigned or was fired from her position.
