Matching Grants At The Cache Valley Visitors Bureau Now Available

Applications for matching grants from the Cache Valley Tourism Bureau for marketing that encourages people to visit the valley are now available.

Although preference is given to events held between Oct. 1 and May 15, events held anytime during the year are eligible.

Nonprofit organizations may receive up to $1,500 in matching funds if it goes toward advertising existing events in markets outside the Cache Valley or for creating events that will entice visitors to stay in an area hotel. For the grant, out of area marketing is considered marketing that occurs outside of Cache, Rich, Box Elder, Franklin and Bear Lake counties.

Event development funds must be used to establish new attractions, events, activities, or festivals in Cache Valley. Organizations may receive funding for up to three years.

Applications are available at the Cache Valley Visitors Bureau or can be downloaded at explorelogan.com. The deadline is March 1 at 5:00 p.m.
