American Indian Services Pre-Freshman Engineering Program (AIS PREP) is a free STEM summer school program for middle schoolers from eight different Native American tribes. Alice Min Soo Chun, founder and CEO of Solight Designs, Inc., is this year’s AIS PREP graduation keynote speaker.
She’ll join us today to share her inspirational story as an inventor, entrepreneur and former Columbia University professor who created portable, origami-inspired, solar lights to help with refugee missions and more. We’ll also be joined by Shelby Chapoose, with the AIS PREP program. She’ll talk about this opportunity for young Native Americans to explore stem studies and careers.
