Conservation Writer Emma Marris On Friday's Access Utah

twitter.com @Emma_Marris

It is Natural Resources Week at Utah State University and the theme is "Go Wild, It's All Around you."  Nature writer Emma Marris was a featured speaker during this week's celebration and she joins us today on the program to talk about the latest wave in conservation and her new book, The Rambunctious Garden, that is changing and challenging our traditional views of conservation.

On Science Questions, producers Sheri Quinn and Suzi Montgomery explore marijuana policies and the long-term effects they have had on the U.S prison system...through the lens of theology from writer Dr. Reverend Susan Thistlewaite.  First the news….

Sheri's career in radio began at 7 years old in Los Angeles, California with a secret little radio tucked under her bed that she'd fall asleep with, while listening to The Dr. Demento Radio Show. She went on to produce the first science radio show in Utah in 1999 and has been reporting local, national and international stories ever since. After a stint as news director at KZYX on northern California's Lost Coast, she landed back at UPR in 2021.
