    Efforts to restore bison on the Wind River Indian Reservation in central Wyoming could hold the key to strengthening ecosystems and economies across Western states. The Eastern Shoshone, historically known as “buffalo eaters,” also see reintroduction as critical for preserving cultural heritage and improving tribal health and wellness.
