California natives die in Utah crashes over the weekend

Two California visitors died in separate Utah automobile accidents over the weekend in southern Utah.

Saturday afternoon, 70-year-old Chet Devito of Anaheim Hills, Calif. was killed when the motorcycle he was riding failed to negotiate a turn on U.S. 89 north of Kanab. There were no witnesses to the crash, Devito was found by another motorist.

A San Pedro family was traveling Northbound on I-15 south of Fillmore, when the driver overcorrected and rolled the truck. Passenger Fale Tuitea, 33, was killed. Her husband and 6-year-old son were transported to a local hospital with non-fatal injuries.
