Providence Man Arrested For Reckless Endangerment After Garage Explosion
A Providence, Utah man has been arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and reckless control or possession of explosives, chemicals or incendiary devices. 21-year-old Jeffrey R. Toombs was arrested after he and a friend were handling explosive materials Tuesday night leading to an explosion in the garage of a home near 125 North off of 400 East.
Toombs took the 22-year-old friend to Logan Regional Hospital for injuries to his hand and shrapnel wounds to his abdomen. Cache County Sheriff deputies, the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents are investigating.
Students attending the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Discovery Charter School are being allowed to return to classes today. Two roads in the area have re-opened, including the entrance to a cul-de-sac at 125 North off of 400 East, and Bluff Street between Spring Creek Parkway and 280 North is now open.
