Herbert Implements Travel Declaration Requirements

Governor Gary Herbert announced a travel declaration that is to go into place this week.

Starting this Friday, April 10, anyone over the age of 18 that travels to Utah as final destination through Salt Lake International Airport of the freeway will have complete this travel declaration. In this declaration, people will be asked if they have been tested, had symptoms, and where else they have traveled.

The Utah Department of Transportation identified nine different entry points on freeways. Once entering the state, the drivers will a text message that incudes a link to the declaration form.

This declaration came with concerns that Easter weekend an spring break will lead to an increase in nonessential travel.
