St. George Selected To Host 2 Ironman Championships In 2021

A city in southwestern Utah has been named the next location for two Ironman championship competitions next year, including the 70.3 world championships which have not been raced in North America since 2013. The Spectrum reported Tuesday that St. George was selected to host the 2021 Ironman 70.3 North American and World Championships in May and September, respectively. Officials say the North American championships are scheduled for May 1. The triathlon course will start with a 1.2-mile swim, which then proceeds into a 56-mile bike through Washington County. Athletes will finish with a 13.1 mile run. The World Championships are scheduled for Sept. 17-18.
