Residents of southern Utah are looking at several days to weeks of cleanup after heavy rains on Wednesday caused flash flooding.Unfortunately, this isn’t the only major flooding event Utah has experienced this year. There have been several other flash flood events throughout central and southern Utah this summer that have damaged homes and businesses.
According to the National Weather Service, some areas saw up to six feet of water.
Governor Spencer Cox says state emergency officers are assisting local officials in Hanksville and the surrounding areas.
