A potential rezone of property in southern Logan would allow for more lower-cost housing in the city. But some city council members are worried about safety issues the potential increase in traffic could cause.

The Dixie Metropolitan Planning Organization recently started working on an update to their Regional Transportation Plan. The plan will cover from 2019 to 2050 outlining which road and transit improvements are expected to become necessary within their boundaries, which encompass St. George, Washington City, Santa Clara City and Ivins City.

The Utah Department of Transportation will hold a public open house and accompanying public hearing for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement on proposed recommendations for highway improvements to the Valley View Highway.

The events will take place Wednesday at Logan City Hall.

UDOT to Host Ogden Canyon Study Open House

The Utah Department of Transportation is holding a public meeting to discuss the future of Ogden Canyon. 

UDOT is studying the transportation needs for Ogden Canyon through a series of information and project idea meetings. The ideas gathered during the past two years are being used to help create new concepts for the heavily traveled area.
