Utah Agricultural Land Trust Annual Fundraiser in Garland April 18th
Utah Agricultural Land Trust is celebrating its third year in operation with its annual gathering on Saturday April 18th at 6:00 p.m. The event will recognize those who make the dream of agricultural land preservation a reality. Renowned country band, Rough Stock will perform and will delight with some great country and pop tunes. One of their specialties is fiddle-strong Cotton-Eyed Joe. Bear River City’s own Rich Holmgren will lead a live auction, and guests will enjoy delicious pulled pork sandwiches from The Grill in Tremonton. Hot fudge sundaes will cap off the scrumptious meal.
Monarch butterflies will also be center stage with a beautiful butterfly dance performed by the Valley Dance Ensemble. “Highlighting the plight of pollinators, especially Utah’s native bees and the migrating Monarch Butterfly is really important to UALT”, said Deborah Van Noy, a UALT board member.
The event will take place at Shaffer Farms on Highway 30 in Garland on April 18th from 6 to 9:30 in the evening. The exact address is 15158 North 4550 West in Garland – just two miles east of the Sinclair Service Station at Riverside. Ticket information can be found at https://utahaglandtrust.org
“We are looking forward to a wonderful celebration of the work being done by Utah Agricultural Land Trust to save farms and ranches in Utah,” said executive director Bryan Nielsen. UALT was founded in 2023 to support agricultural land preservation in Utah and to date has over 3,600 acres of land under review for protection.
