Mohave County officials find two dead bodies

Authorities have two dead bodies on their hands in Mohave County, Ariz. One has clearly been dead for a while, the other died Monday.

The  remains of an older adult male were discovered by hikers in a desert wash area outside Golden Valley on Saturday. Identification and cause of death are up to a medical examiner to determine.

Monday afternoon, deputies responded to a disturbance involving shots fired at a residence in Dolan Springs.

Upon arrival, a man was found dead on the scene. A woman was found inside the home with a gunshot wound, and was transported to University Medical Center in Las Vegas. Initial findings seem to indicate the dead man forcibly entered the home firing a .22-caliber handgun. The homeowner fired back with a .22-caliber rifle.

Both incidents are under further investigation.
