Large Drug Bust In Sevier County

Sevier Sheriff

A Richfield man could face at least 15 years in prison after a large drug bust in Sevier County on Tuesday.

Jason Saunders was arrested with 3/4th of a pound of pure crystal meth. According to Sevier County Sheriff Nate Curtis, Saunders has been dealing meth out of his home. He also had firearms in his home, which increases his charges.

The sheriff’s office worked with local agencies and community members in the bust.

“It’s kind of fun to see it all work together and to get that big of a bust out of it,” Curtis said. “And just on our streets.”

According to Curtis, Saunders told police he knew it was coming when he was arrested.

“What people need to know is that’s a lot of drugs. That’s a whole lot,” Curtis said.
