Senator Dan McCay To Be Jeff Burningham's Running Mate

Utah Senate

In a virtual cottage meeting on Wednesday night, gubenatorial candidate Jeff Burningham annouced state Senator Dan McCay would be his running mate in the 2020 election.

In a press release sent out before the meeting, Burningham stated that “Dan has consistently been ranked one of the most conservative legislators in Utah during his time in the Utah House and Senate. Burningham-McCay is THE conservative team for Utah.”

McCay was appointed to the Utah House of Representatives in 2012. In 2108, he was elected to the state senate.
The press release stated that "Burningham and McCay will continue to hold online meetings to make themselves available to voters. Burningham has now held 12 online cottage meetings with voters in the last couple of weeks."
