Utah Coroanvirus Update, Thursday, April 23
After a few days of confirmed coronavirus cases in Utah increasing at a rate of 4.5%, cases increased by 5% on Thursday. As of 1 p.m. on Thursday, there are 3,612 cases of the virus in the state-- 167 new ones since Wednesday.
One new coronavirus related death was reported, in addition to 13 new coronavirus related hospitalizations.
Governor Herbert said during the media briefing on Thursday that about 1,500 people have signed up to use the Healthy Together app since it was launched Wednesday. During the briefing, Herbert also announced multicultural outreach efforts that would be happening to reach out to minority communities in the state.
