Officials Seeking Tips Regarding Moose Poaching Incident In Northern Utah

nps.gov

Last month a bull moose was illegally killed in Rich County and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is asking for the public’s help in gathering information.

Report of a dead moose by Bug Lake was received by conservation officers on July 30. A necropsy performed on the carcass determined the moose had been shot with archery equipment. It is estimated the moose was killed between July 26 and July 28. There is not an open hunting season for moose at this time.

Tips on the killing of this moose can be reported to the UTiP Hotline, 800-662-3337, or theDWR website.
