Chad and Lori Daybell appeared in court on Wednesday in southeastern Idaho to answer charges related to the murder of Lori’s children, Joshua Vallow and Tylee Ryan, according to reports from the Deseret News.
The remains of the children were found nearly a year ago and the couple has been jailed for most of that time awaiting trial on charges that they conspired to keep the remains of the children hidden.
According to the Deseret News, Chad Daybell will remain in jail without the possibility of bail after declining to ask a judge in Fremont County to revisit the order. Citing “exigent circumstances” that came to light in a conversation with attorneys moments earlier, the judge postponed Lori’s hearing indefinitely.
Chad Daybell will return to court for arraignment on June 9.
